Solidigm, an enterprise-class SSD company, announced liquid-cooled enterprise-class solid-state drives (eSSDs) at NVIDIA GTC 2025 that combine hot-swappable, easy-to-replace features with good thermal performance.
According to Solidigm, traditional eSSD liquid cooling solutions use direct liquid cooling DLC design, but this method can only absorb heat from one side of the SSD, which also affects the implementation of hot-swap functionality. The company’s dedicated cold plate kit offers better heat dissipation, hot-swappable, and more compact.
Solidigm’s liquid-cooled eSSDs are based on the E1. The D7-PS1010, a PCIe 5.0 SSD in a 9.5mm form factor, is expected to be available on AI servers in the second half of this year. Previously, the company only launched E3. D7-PS1010 with S 7.5mm and U.2 15mm discs.
solidigm dealers understand that Solidigm will also be launching a thicker E1. S 15mm Disk D7-PS1010 to meet the needs of air-cooled servers and storage systems.
